Deposit

The deposit is located in the Pacific Ocean, approximately 25-40 kilometers from the coast of Baja California Sur, Mexico.

The dredging of this site would allow Mexico to stop its dependence on phosphate imports and ultimately transform it into a phosphate-exporting nation.

No chemical is introduced during the dredging and processing of aggregates. The phosphate is extracted mechanically and only shells and oversized material are returned to the seabed.

This is done in a way that creates uneven topography on the seabed, which results in an improvement of the fish population.
